A Rubber - Fiber hybrid type of gasket material this is the best product I have seen on the market for a wide range of uses. Uses on engines both new and old uses include timing covers, fuel pumps, differential covers, head gaskets, crank cases, bearing housing and many, many other uses. Works great for sealing water, oil and also for gasoline.
The manufacturer states the following: MP-15 gasket material is design for heavy-duty applications including compressors, diesel engines, and others. It has excellent low flange pressure seal-ability and bolt torque retention.
The piece of material is 12" x 24" (including the angled cut on the one end and 1/16 inch thick.
